Back to Blogging in 2022!

Featured

Hello, hello!

After my book was published, I was exhausted. I neglected reading blogs and when I did read them, I stopped leaving comments like I usually did.

To use one of my favorite erudite words, that sucked.😨

You see, I had absolutely loved being an active blogger. Blogging was nothing short of a blessing because I felt understood by inspiring, talented mental health bloggers. They weren’t just kindred spirits. These intrepid souls encouraged me to finish my book and they even promoted it after it was published!

But I was burned out, and I took a long break from the blogosphere.

Right before I took my leave, my author friend L.E. Henderson published the insightful postTo Blog or Not To Blog.Call me superstitious, but her post seemed like a sign I was making the right choice to stop blogging.

During my hiatus, our community was devastated by the CZU Lightning Complex Fires. We were incredibly lucky our home survived the blaze, and I stopped taking a lot of things for granted.

My husband, girls, and this beautiful furbaby Lucy Boo kept me going during our lengthy evacuation in which we had no idea if our house had burned down.

During my break, I also made one of the best decisions of my life.

I’m no youth; I turned a whopping 50 (!) during my blogging hiatus. When I return here next year, I’d like to share my life-changing experience with you! In the meantime, hang in there and remember to:

Ah yes, here’s the latest Lucy picture wearing a scarf styled by yours truly.

It stayed on her for about 10 seconds.
